Let Your Coating Fully Cure
The curing time for your concrete coating depends on temperature, humidity, and the condition of the concrete. To ensure the best results:
Foot traffic: Wait at least 24 hours before walking on the surface.
Heavy objects & vehicles: Wait at least 48 hours before driving on or placing heavy items on the coating.
Your installer will provide specific curing instructions based on your installation conditions.
Concrete Coating Care & Maintenance
To keep your Tub N' Crete Coatings floor looking its best and performing well for years, follow these simple care guidelines:
Protect Your Coating
Avoid Dragging Heavy Objects
Though highly abrasion-resistant, your coating can still scratch or get damaged.
Use furniture sliders or lift heavy items instead of dragging them.
Prevent Continuous Abrasion
Repeated friction (e.g., a rolling chair or motorcycle kickstand in the same spot) can wear down the coating over time.
Use mats or padding under frequently placed objects.
Stain Prevention & Chemical Safety
Wipe Up Spills Quickly
Your coating is stain-resistant, not stain-proof.
Clean up oil, wine, and chemical spills as soon as possible to prevent stains.
Never Use Harsh Chemicals or Acids
Battery acid WILL damage the coating.
If you have an electric golf cart, motorcycle, or vehicle with a vented battery, place a protective mat or tray underneath.
Be cautious with brake fluid and highly corrosive substances—avoid direct contact with the floor.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean Your Floor the Right Way
Sweep, vacuum, or blow out debris before washing.
Use a pump sprayer or garden hose to lightly mist the floor—no need to flood it with water.
Use a soft-foam squeegee to remove dirt and moisture. (Rubber squeegees smear dirt and oil instead of removing it.)
X DO NOT Use Pressure Washers
Pressure washing can slowly erode the clear coat's sheen over time.
Avoid Detergents & Waxes
Detergents leave behind a residue, causing the floor to look hazy and dull over time.
DO NOT use products like "Mop & Glo." They can prevent future repairs or recoating.
Safe Cleaning Products
Use non-detergent cleaners like Fabuloso, vinegar, or ammonia if needed.
By following these guidelines, your Tub N' Crete Coatings floor will stay durable, clean, and looking great for years!
