Care and Maintenance

Let Your Coating Fully Cure Initial Curing Period

Congratulations on your newly refinished surface! You’ve chosen a high-quality coating designed for durability—and with just a bit of care, it will last beautifully for years. Please read the following carefully:

Initial Curing Period

Do not use the surface for 24 hours (at room temperature).

Although the surface may feel ready, it's still curing and needs up to 48 days to fully harden.

Everyday Cleaning

Clean with mild soap and water using a soft washcloth or microfiber cloth.

Avoid scouring pads or abrasive cleaners—they dull the finish over time.

Always rinse thoroughly and dry with a cloth to prevent residue build-up.

If trying an unlisted cleaner, test on a small, hidden area first.

Approved Cleaners

Dish soaps: Dawn, Joy, Ivory

Multi-surface cleaners: Formula 409, Glass Plus, Scrub Free (non-abrasive)

Diluted cleaners: Pine-Sol, Simple Green, Spic & Span

Gentle powders (only if needed): Soft Scrub, Liquid Comet

** What to Avoid**

Using any of the following will damage the finish and void your warranty:

Abrasive or strong chemical cleaners:
Dow cleaners, Steel wool, Wire brushes, Bathroom Duck, Lysol disinfectants, Aerosol cleaners, Bleach, Ammonia, Nail polish remover, Lestoil, harsh abrasives

Adhesive suction mats or bath mats with rubber backs

Leaving soap, bottles, or other items on the surface

Allowing leaky faucets or standing water—moisture can damage the finish

Additional Notes

Initial surface dust: Some dust may settle on the surface during curing. Regular, gentle cleaning removes it—no cause for concern.

Drains and cleaners: If using liquid drain cleaners, remove standing water and pour product directly into drain via funnel—avoid contact with surface.

Wax caution: Using wax for restoration may leave a slick residue. If necessary, automotive wax like Mirror Glaze #17 may perform better.

Avoid placing heavy or sharp objects on the finish—impacts can chip or scratch the coating.

Address faucet drips promptly—persistent moisture can erode the finish prematurely.

Keep chemicals away: Cosmetics, hair dyes, perfumes, and acid-based cleaners (like grout or drain openers) may stain or damage the surface.

No rubber bath mats—these can react with the surface when wet. For safety, use only non-stick or slip-resistant mats recommended for refinished surfaces.

Heat and cutting caution for countertops: Never place hot pots/pans directly on the surface or cut directly on it—both void the warranty.
